We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced teacher to work with our 1 year old children.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive relationship with parents, children, and co-workers
  • Maintain a positive, appropriately-structured environment while adhering to the classroom schedule
  • Implement the approved lesson plans in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum
  • Work with the lead teacher to assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create and explore
  • Attend all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions, ensuring that training requirements are met or exceeded
  • Observe all rules and regulations of the Primrose School at Westerre Commons and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children
Requirements:

  • Ability to relate positively to young children
  • Previous teaching experience in a public or private school, preschool or childcare center preferred but we are willing to train the right person
  • Knowledge of social, emotional and creative needs of young children
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Skills in time management with the ability to organize environment and prioritize work
  • Certification or degree related to early childhood or elementary education is preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old
